2014 Wind Gap Gap's Crown Pinot Noir
Not to be outdone by the Chardonnay from this same stellar plot of land, the 2014 Gap’s Crown Pinot Noir is one serious bottle of wine. Powerful and concentrated enough to let you know it is from the new world, but silky, delicate and graceful enough to make you second-guess that call. Steep volcanic soil covered slopes give the wine its transparency and cut.
Fresh summer fruit and deep savory spice complement each other while the gorgeous floral aromas steal the show. Lovely delicate red and blue fruit with deeper darker fruit on the mid-palate carry the flavors until the floral and spice come back around and complete the finish.
