Pinot Noir grown in shallow rocky soils, volcanic and alluvium, as is the case with the vineyards we utilize for this wine, will typically carry a delicacy and lightness that cannot be achieved in heavier soils. The proximity of these sites to the Petaluma Wind Gap and their exposure to the cool coastal winds of the San Pablo Bay and the Pacific Ocean moderate the ripening while ensuring bright fresh acids at harvest. Combine these qualities with steep exposed California Hillsides and you have everything you need to make a proper Pinot Noir.

Brilliant red-cherry fruit is highlighted by zesty orange rind; dark brown spice, fresh black summer fruits and an exotic perfume of roses complete the aromas of this coastal California Pinot Noir. The palate is saturated with more spice and a concentration of fruit that is surprisingly pliant and supple. Very complete and sophisticated, this is a wine for immediate consumption that will satisfy even the hardest to please Pinot Noir lover.
